The drive is an iHAS324B-99 B.
This pic is from a PDF guide. I added the arrows so you guys would know what the hell I'm talking about.

At the red arrow, my letter "B" is missing.
At the blue arrow, mine reads (0-0).
At the yellow arrow, only 2 bars appear before it fails.
At the green arrow, it reads "Writing of FLASH failed.
Pop-up box reads "Error writing FLASH to drive".
The "ATAPI.iHAS524_B.AL27.stock.exe" updater fails as well at the very same spot.
Also, if I try to cross-flash, I get the pop-up window saying "Sorry but this drive cannot be upgraded at this time".

Have you tried reflashing your Eeprom that you dumped and then doing the upgrade to 524b crossflashed with original firmware, then flash over with burner max, this is what i had to do, then i patched C4's firmware to work with my A-one disks then flashed that over!!!

The problem is that it seems as though after upgrading the drive's firmware version from AL1A to AL1B, the drive's firmware can't be written to at all again:
- Under crossflash, choosisng the upgrade button gives the message "Sorry but this drive can't be upgraded at this time".
- Using the "ATAPI.iHAS524_B.AL27.stock.exe" updater fails after only 2 bars.
- Also, the eeprom can be restored, but the firmware can't (fails after 2 bars).
I've tried a few other flashing programs and they fail also.
I don't remember who, but someone on here on AD said he flashed the same exact drive, so it's gotta be do-able.

When i did mine i forgot to press crossflash when i first did it and got the error cannot be updated, i reflashed the eeprom and then crossflashed to 524b stock from 124b, once it said i had 524b stock on drive i then flashed burner max over that!! Have you used the Smart Pack utility to update the drive aswell?
