Repaired 0020 now E71 any suggestions?

I reflowed an xbox yesterday to fix RROD 0020 and now it boots to green lights then just says E71 in the same spot every time. If I put a disc in the E71 doesn't come up until the drive reads the disc. Could it be trying to search for an update?

I didn't use flux but I'm not sure whether its a failed update or the southbridge that's the problem since it looks like its starting up then just errors.

I'm still having this problem here's a video of what it's doing : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZkW7B56Uy4

Does this look like it's hardware or software related? Just wondering as I don't want to be heating the board for no reason if its a corrupted dashboard. If I put update 12625 on a USB stick with default.xex on the root it will hang on the xbox360 logo (It doesn't lock up as the logo is still animating / the controllers still connect) but if I put that USB stick into my working xbox I get E71 where the dashboard should show because of default.xex, but this one just hangs there. Anyone have any ideas? Another reflow?

Tried that and still E71. It must be software related because reflowing done nothing. Maybe if a new update gets released it might install on it.

There is probably a default.xex in the root of your flash/harddrive. Remove it and it should boot fine. That was my problem last night took me like three hours to do because I thought it was hardware related as well. Sorry to resurrect an old thread, if you didn'y figure it out yet thats how you do it :)
