slax gives booting error PLEASE HELP

#1 18 Oct 2010 @ 11:06
I am trying to boot slax to flash my hitachi 78 drive. I have windows 7 32 bit and can't get my windows to recognixe my drive so slax is my last hope. I have tried slax 2.0 and 2.1 and every time I try to load it is says:

Fatal error occured.
LiveData not found. Searching for livecd.sgn file, but file not found. You are maybe using an unsupported boot device )eg. SCSI or PCMCIA CD-ROM) Try to copy all data from cd/usb to your IDE harddisk, for example to /mnt/sda1/all data/ in Linux or c:\alldata in windos. Then boot again

Something went wrong and we can't continue. This should never happen Please reboot your computer with ctrl+alt+dlt...

Also I have done hours of research and can't find a response. I have a SATA CD-ROM if that makes a difference. and also I get the same error code when booting from USB

I just don't want to go back to windows xp... I just stepped down from 64 bit to 32 bit thinking that would solve the problem but it doesn't. I know there is someone that knows the fix cause I have heard of people that have windows 7 flashing drives.

You have a few options.
1. Install dual boot with XP and 7
2. Use XP Mode with virtual pc(not sure if it works)
3. Use jungle flasher. If you can't get the portio running when you start jungle flasher(run as administrator) then try to install it manually. Also make sure you are using a primary sata port, not secondary because that causes problems with everything.
