Found this new, fresh video on youtube..don't know whether I should believe it. They mention about clearing my cache, doesn't that mean I'll delete all my savefiles, data and gamertags? If not I'm sure going to try it, nothing to lose afterall.

Pretty much guarantee this wont work. It's the serial number of the console that's banned. However if there was one way of changing the memory so I could use my HDD again, i'd do it in a flash.
the only way you can get your xbox unbanned is to phone M$ and ask to speak to bill gates, when bill gates comes to the phone, tell him how much you love him and that if he removed your ban you would pay him back in kind.

I did this and can confirm it works, also had to give Major Nelson "special" favors
