I have found one on Ebay in my country for £28 odd, its a SAMSUNG SH-D162D IDE DVD-ROM, is this the one I would need? I just need clarification before i pull the trigger on this purchase.

You can by drives with kreon firmware already installed from kreonxtreme for £19.99, I assume you are in the uk as you are £'s

thanks snowman didn't know that i'm using my samsung m25 drive but would rather not. does the drive write them to or just read them?
