xbc wont backup Episodes from Liberty City

Hi guys i am using xbc 2.9 and a d162c kreon1.0 drive to backup 360 disks. I just backed up Forza 3 disks 1 and 2 no problems and then I went to backup GTA Episodes from Liberty City and when it gets to 49.13% the drive slows down and i start getting read errors.The disk is brand new and never used not a scratch on it and the hardware in my pc is new also.I dont have any problems backing up any other disk but Episodes from liberty city is the only wave 4 original disk i have. is this to do with wave 4 or have ms done something else different to the disks. do we need a new xbc or a kreon firmware update ? as i said all my wave 3 disks will backup but not this new one . has anyone else had the same problem? cheers.

strange i ripped it using ixtreme 1.6 with half way open status on my liteon worked fine for me

no man you are right i just got a lend of a d163b samsung drive and that ripped no problems.it my drive thats faulty. i wuldnt mind i only bought it :( sorry for the confusion i thought it might be something new cheers manu
