xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Disc

Hello, I purchased a xbox 360 transfer cable from ebay. the seller said to DL the iso and it should work. I did so, burned to a dvd+r disc in image burn then I get the please put into a xbox 360 console. Im wondering what i did wrong? I tried a dvd+r DL disc but image burn wouldnt let me burn. Has anyone had any success with this? I heard microsoft gives them away for free, but i need to transfer files immediately because someone wants to buy hard drive.

Yes it is flashed. Ive been searching for about 6 hours. I found one file thats 5mb but it doesnt work comes up as video then please put into xbox 360 screen

The official Microsoft data transfer disc is the same size as a retail 360 game disc. (SplitVid = 7.29Gb / Non-SplitVid = 7.05Gb)
Using a backup of the original transfer disc will require your console to be modded with iXtreme. Hopefully this helps.

Yes i have a benq flashed with ixtreme 1.6 . I obtained a iso from a website but i know it's not the right iso. Do you know where to get the right one as you got pictured in abgx?

I ripped it myself from the disc you see pictured underneath the ABGX results.
I just wanted to show you that the disc image would not fit on a regular DVD+R.
It needs to be on a DVD+R-DL(dual layer) after being verified on ABGX (which I'm showing is on file).

Oh....I only tried it on a dvd+r because it was only 5mb, and people said it worked. But thanks for clearing that part up for me. It's so hard to find that disc on the net, guess i'll just go buy one today, or maybe give microsoft a ring.

If the file you downloaded was only 5Mb then all you downloaded was the stealth files. The actual disc is about the same size as a game and must be burned like a game on a dual layer disc with the layer break set at 1913760. According to the customer service rep at MS you do not need a modded console to use the transfer disc but I have not tried it so I do not know for a fact that it will work on an unmodded console. Use ImgBurn and you can manually set the layer break or run the .iso through abgx360 and it will create the .dvd file with the layer break already set. You can also change the book type to DVD Rom to ensure compatability and burn at 2.4x for best results. Hope this helps.

Thanks for everyone's help I found one, ebxtreme one poster said the version I had was Pal and it was actually working...lol i smell BS. Thanks for the help everyone and if anyone has a problem finding it send me a message and i'll give you the link....(Dont want to break any rules posting links or anything)

Huh?! I provided all of the info I obtained from my actual US version disc earlier in this thread (with pics). I never said anything about it being Pal. Read it again.
If you smell BS, I have no clue where your nose is.

not to be a pain in the butt, but i recently bought a transfer kit with a hdd, but didnt receive the cd...is there someone who would be nice enough to rip/burn, send me a cd, or email me the iso? i can paypal money, if you wish.

i haven't received a response either...maybe give it a few more days?
i sucked it up, and bought another cable + cd from microsuck...once i get it, i'll make an iso, and if you still need one, pm me your info. i'll send you one, or just put the iso online so you can burn your own.
