I've seen it done on google video or you tube and they made it look so easy. First you download wmp 11 you a share media option in the interface turn on your ps3 sign into your account first. then open the share media option in wmp 11 it shows your ps3 as a new device click share media. Now go to your ps3 and and bam... there's there a dell symbol in the icons on ps3 main screen. Fun when i tried it i got zip. HEELLLP
What part is not working for you. Does the ps3 show up on you PC media server. With the PS3, you will have to enable Medial Server on you system setup first. (2nd from left on XMB). Medial server is not enabled by default, i dont think. After setting up WMP11, on PS3 - for music, pictures, and video; there will be a NEW icon that says "Search for Media Servers". Select that and it will connect to your PC.
the ps3 doesn't show up in the wmplayer 11 sharing media option. And yes I have mesia sharing enable on my PS3. Could the problem be that my ps3 in to far away from my computer pc upstairs ps3 down stairs. But it connects wirelessly this way no problem...
Ok l will try it. Know that I got Tversity running it worked fine the first night, but know it disconnects every few minute. I even went so far as to pull my lan connection into my ps3 to see if that would help it still disconnecting giving me a dlna error has ocurred i guess maybe the pro version works better. I think most people have the early beta versions.... comment?
The reason it does that is because you need to refresh the tversity library. Kinda annoying but its not that bad. Havnt heard of the PS3 Media Server il have to check it out.
how often is this needed to be performed? My PC is upstairs and PS3 downstairs this could get to be a bit much. And I'm still looking into the PMS for playstation 3 i'm searching for it now.....

Im looking at using the PS3 Media Server instead of WMP11. Are you saying that withe Tversity, you have to refresh the library every time you add something new like you have to do with WMP11. It is anoying and i always forget to do it.
let me join the screaming chorus of PS3 Media Server fans.. that program is freaking boss. I have SIGNIFICANT problems with my setup. My phone interfers with my router causing me to physically reset it 10-12 times a day. my computer is running with usually less than a gig of free space with only 1 GIG of RAM. Still PS3 Media Server manages to be light and efficient enough to do the trick. It did take me a few minutes to figure out I could limit it to my download folder and not have to surf my entire HD, and it takes a while to build the library if i restart but most of my issues can be explained by my weak connection and weak computer. Once I actually get it going. it's a thing of beauty. no more copying to flash drives and filling up my PS3 HD with videos. Maybe 80GB IS enough?
