Newbie
i am aware that there is a thread here but still no joy, charging he pads is difficult, is there a button i should press to make it happen or should it do it automatically, really annoying !!!! any help will be really appriciated, thanks

Umm if by "pad" you mean controller, just plug it into your PS3 with the USB cord that came with the system and it will charge automatically :)

thats what i thought but it doesnt do that, after messing round with it ,, it only seems to charge if the ps3 pad is in a higher position than the playstation itself, maybe there ia a problem with the wire.

It can either be the USB cable, the controller charging port itself or the PS3's USB port itself. Either way it definitely sounds like a hardware issue.
