PS3 Color picture not working

Any 1 that can help...
I have a PS3 80GB that recently decided to stop playing in color. All the picture is in black and white. My TV is fine and the connections from the TV to the PS3 are fine. All the settings are fine just has no color. Any one have an idea on how to fix it. Is there a reset button maybe? Sony wants $189 just to look at it. For a few more bucks I can buy a new one but this model will play PS1 and PS2 game. So if any one has an idea on how to fix the color issue let me know.

Just to be sure, have you tried connecting something else to that same port on the TV?
Another thing you could try is to bring the console to someone who has an HDTV, and to test it via HDMI...if it works with HDMI, then take the $190 and spend it on a good TV (a PS3 on a SD TV is a waist).
