PS3 version 3.72

#1 01 Jan 2012 @ 15:42
I have a PS3 system software version 3.72 Model No. CECHK01

I want to play games off of an ext hdd.
I know i need CFF and homebrew but not sure of the best way to do this...
I have found this guide http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive...un_homebrew.cfm but not sure if this is what i should use or not.

If someone could please point me in the right direction that would be great.
THANKS.

your stuck like me i'm on version 4.0 the only way your gonna get to install the CFW is to downgrade your PS3 to version 3.55.

If you want to downgrade you'll need to buy something like E3 Flasher but i'm not 100% sure if your version can be downgraded maybe someone with more exp could help ya out more
