ok went to delete some saved data and my ps3 and it turned its self off , i then tried to turn it back on and it boots up for about 2 seconds then gets a yellow light which then change to a red light which continuely flashes until i turn the system off i waited for an hour tried to turn it back on but got the same problem any help appreciated thanks

Just a suggestion, try to remove the HDD and turn it back on.

hi mate i had the same problem myself.if you log on to YOUTUBE type in (ylod fix ps3) look up a 6 part video (NOT sure of his name) if you are any way handy it fixes this problem

With the system off, press and hold the power symbol. Keep holding it for about 5-10 seconds and the system will reset itself to default settings; this usualy fixes errors caused by user action.
