Stream laptop screen through ps3 to Tv

HEllo All,
i was wondering is it possible for me to stream my laptop screen through my ps3 to my tv?
what i want to do is play a pc game on my tv wirelessly, without having to purchase anyhthing

You can, there is software that streams your desktop to PS3, but it costs money and you would have too much lag to enjoy a game.

Alternately, if you have:
1x VGA port on your laptop
1x VGA port on your TV
1x VGA cable
You can skip the PS3 altogether and hook the laptop directly to the TV. I know it's not what you're looking for, but it's an option. If you don't have the cable, you can always buy one for cheap. (Again, I know you said you don't want to purchase anything, but I'm just throwing it out there.)
You could try installing Linux onto your PS3, provided you haven't updated to the latest firmware yet and you've got a fat PS3. I'm sure there are a couple of free streaming programs for Linux.
