Hey everybody, I have a question for all of you. I hope this hasn't already been answered somewhere else, but if so I am sorry.
I have a PS3 and I am interested in getting a PSP to control my PS3 remotely. Now I understand the PS3 will stream the media so I can play it on my PSP but what I want to know is can I choose to just control the PS3 from where it stands. Let me put it this way, lets say I am using my PS3 to play music at a party or some event in my house. Can I use the PSP to log into my PS3 and change the song or skip a song remotely without actually turning on a tv or even messing with me PS3?
If anybody knows this please help me out there. I appreciate it.

You can link your PSP and PS3 together wuith remote play. I think this will then allow you to control which music etc being played. You can definitely navigate the XMB, so I assume you would be able to change the music. However, I gave my PSP away so cannot check this for you.
Maybe try setting the music playing with the PS3 controller (so it plays through the PS3), then start remote play from there?
If I am wrong, and you can only stream music to the PSP like this, I apologise :).
Cant be done. Once you start remote play the PS3 will display "remote play in session" on the screen. You cant have the xmb on the PS3 and PSP simultaneously.
Would have been a cool feature tho. Especially with the open remote play hack. Could have used your iphone or any internet phone to access the xmb. Maybe one day someone will figure it out.
