D2Pro System Update Questions

Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Hello,

I have a D2pRO chip for my wii (e version chip, 9 wire). I used the config and firmware 1.7 to block all updates. Of course, since I did this about 10 months ago, the newer backups won't play without an update from Nintendo.

Question: If I allow the update will the chances of my chip continuing to work and not be blocked high? I have not seen any firmware updates on the dc2pro website, so can I assume all of the other users are still working fine?

If by chance it blocks all my updates, I would assume the original games I have would continue to work fine, just not the backups, correct?
