So it has been 3 years since I play with my Wii.
If I recall it has the D2C drive and a WiiKey2 installed in it.
I been out of the loop these past years and I was dumb enough to update the Wii to 4.3U.
All seems well though and it still plays my back-ups fine except the loud noise from my dvd drive. Perhaps the dvd drive is about to give in?
I am hoping my fellow members here can help me catch up on the Wii scene.
I am so lost with these new mods and softmods. I am curious about running my back-ups from an SDHC cards.
Can anyone help me get started?

As for the noise of the drive , don't worry some games would do that.
I know it does that with games like SSBB and Mario kart.
It doesn't mean your Drive will explode or die it just runs the game loud for some reason, it happens to me as well, so i started using a HDD.
As for modding your 4.3 Wii you can do it via Modmii.
Here is a link that shows you a video on how to do it and tells you what to install.
You might also have to download some extra iOS files for some newer games but for those you will just have to look do a search for them on google not so difficult.
here is the link

Just want to say thanks for posting this about Modmii. I hadnt updated any of my Wii mod files in over two years. Using this program allowed me to re-hack my Wii with the latest and greatest files for the new games without having to re-learn anything or read through tutorials for every little file/setting to update.
+1 For Modmii
