Hey everyone.
I have been trying to boot my gamecube backups on my Wii without any luck. I feel like everyone has a different set of IOS files and launchers that they use to boot gamecube games. I was wondering:
a) what worked for you?
b) which IOS files should I have installed on my Wii anyways?
c)If there is a guide that you would recommend?
Sorry if this has been asked 100 times but I have been looking for guides and it seems that they are all fairly outdated.
My system menu is 4.1U and Serial No. starts with a LU64.
Any help would be appreciated!!

Hmmm...Firstly you should know that Gamecube backups use MIOS and not IOS, so that if you decide to search around, you can get the right stuff.
I used this guide:
http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-play-Gamecube-backups-on-your-wii-without-a/
However I think that the guide is a bit outdated and the links are no longer working.
Instead you may want to try this guide: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/47802-play-gamecube-backups-your-wii.html
This guide should include everything you need to play GC Backups. I don't think you'll run into any problems, LU64 DVD Drives were manufactured in 2006, so you should be able to play backups from a Disc.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for the response! I will give the second guide a go after I get some free time and let you know how it went.
Thanks again
