Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Help setting up 1TB hd

#1 29 Oct 2009 @ 22:11
Just bought a new 1TB Western Digital My Book Essentials Edition. I have partitioned it to 2 500GB drives. I formatted the first partition to FAT 32 and the second to WBFS with WBFS Manager. I put one .avi file on the first drive and one wii game on the second drive. I can watch the .avi with Geexbox, but get an error when running USB Loader GX channel. If I run USB loader GX from Homebrew I can get to the actual screen but it says all of my 500GB are full. It does not display the game I have on the drive(though WBFS recognizes it on my pc) and will not allow me to install games because it thinks it full. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

**EDIT**

So I repartitioned with a different program, not through windows and got the .avi files to play with Geexbox. When trying to load USB Loader GX it told me the drive was not formatted to WBFS, although I had just done so on my pc and added a single game. So I formatted the drive to WBFS(again) with USB Loader GX and it allowed me to install a game perfectly. Now I brought the HD back to my pc and that drive no longer has a letter(it was m and the FAT32 partition is L), and when I assign it a letter(M, again) WBFS does not recognize it.

When you say WBFS won't recognise it-Do you mean, The pc program wbfs manager doesn't recognise it? I'm pretty sure That my pc doesn't resognise my partitioned section of the hdd with wbfs format either. I used EASEUS partition master 3.0.2 prfessional edition. and wbfs manager 2.5 to set my hdd up.And loaded my games off the pc as iso's.(region freed of course) If that helps any? I also have my wbfs section of my drive as the first section of the drive not the second.
Good luck
