Long time no see

Hey people, I have been away from the modding scene for about 4 years now, and I'm guessing the modding scene has changed quite a bit.
I need to get Just Dance 3 working for a new years party, and when i insert the disc, it tells me to update the firmware. I am currently on 3.2E or 3.4E, got to check in a minute. Is it safe to update? Because I've read somewhere you can't downgrade.

Also when I run new super mario bros, it crashes after 10 minutes of play time, burnt it 4 times, doesn't work. :(
I'm using the Argon chip
Please help!

you update you will lose your mod but you really need to update to get new games working. go ahead and update then use modmii to hack it again

Seriously?? But I hard modded it
Surely the chip will bypass all that... That's the whole point and purpose of the chip is it not?

i dont know much about hard mod but i do know its old news now soft mod is what people are doing now. your on 3.2 and now the wii is at 4.3 your wayyyyyyyyyyyy behind thus the reason for newer games not working

I've now used ModMii to install the homebrew channel and hacked it succesfully.
However, the guide doesn't elaborate on how to play burnt backups

How would I do this?

look on google for neogamma wad. now on the sd card that modmii made go into wads and delete them all, then place the neogamma wad that google finds for you into the wad folder. put the card back in to your wii and go to the homebrew channel. run wad manager and install the neogamma wad once done neogamma will be installed as a channel run your backups through there
