Mad Dog Mccree USB question

#1 11 Oct 2009 @ 16:45
I saw this asked but never answered. Mad Dog Mccree will not work with USB loader gx..unless you let it use disc default region..which is pal. Then if you use the 3 wire connection to your tv you get the black and white & pin striped video.

Is this due to mad dog being a sort of dvd video that it wont play at all on force NTSC? I had this same sort of problem with a gamecube game?

Also in the WBFS system it does not show up as PAL or NTSC it shows up as RF? does that mean region free cause it certainly is pal. If anyone can help that'd be awesome but its not a big deal cause the 3 games that are on this disc are pretty awful. Its more of a matter of wanting to know what causes these things. thanks

Is there a reason why you have the PAL region instead of NTSC(U) version?

I don't understand why people would rather go through the hassle to get an IMPORT game to work when it is available in the same region as the system.

i understand your point larry but the only reason i ever download pal is because they usually have 10 times the amount of peers and way faster download times. This game took 4 days with a good number of seeders.

I actually didnt see a NTSC version though, there was a multi version out there but i read that it was actually just another pal version. I mean i could go out and rent it and put it on USB loader gx that way, but honestly im not sure if its worth the 8 bucks to rent it!

Do you happen to know any way to fix this or is it bascially if it doesnt work with force NTSC then its not going to work?

Some games play perfectly fine when forcing NTSC but others do not. I have heard that PAL games will play in color without needing to force NTSC if you use a Component cable (red/green/blue/red/white) over a composite cable (yellow/red/white).

Other then that use NTSC versions of the game.

thanks larry, your right though i tried using the regular component cables and i at least got some black and white video..i played the game for 5 minutes and realized it was a lot better when i was 10 years old and not worth finding another ISO.

Thanks for the advise though, your always quick and to the point!
