Mplayer is not working correcly and would like some insite as to why.

I am having some issues with this. I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
I have one of the original Wiis. I have install a WiiKey1 and updated my Wii to 4.1.
I have install the newest HBC and followed the guide how to do it (it is not the Zelda hack)
guide i used:

I installed DVDX, lidbi and Pachmii. I am trying to get the mplayer to work. The player loads but everytime I put in a dvd and press "play DVD" it just sits there. as like its frozen. I can not move to any options and have to rest my Wii.

to install the mplayer/pachmii/libdi
anyone have any idea why it is not playing?

The DVD read for the Mplayer (wii driver) is slow i believe its around 3x so loading a DVD might take sometime more than minute, so try to wait. also have you tried the other functionality of the Mplayer? NET radio, divx or AVI via HDD, SD or SMB? If this works then the Mplayer is loaded properly. So the problem might be the DVDx was not loaded properly.
