is there a way to save the pal settings on neo gamma so you don't have to change them every time you play?

Did you try changing Save Config to yes under the config options?

Wait, how did you change the settings to PAL without being in the NeoGamma menu?
This is what I do.
Start Neogamma and hold the 1 button before it comes up.
When you do this there should be a menu that says all these things
Launch Game on DVD
Load Games from:
Region Options
Config Options
Rebooter Options
Credits
Exit OS
Press B to Launch Rebooter
When you select Config Options
It looks like this:
Hook Type
Ocarina On
Anti 002 fix
Altern. .dol
Save Config
I'd try turning Save Config to yes
This is what I do.

Hmm, "save pal settings" wasn't the best way of saying that.
Anyway I just tried it and it works for me, even after turning the console off. Did you go into region options and change under "force video" to either NTSC480i or NTSC480p?
and then go down to return to menu and go to config options and change save config to yes?
