USB Loader GX resets to Wii Menu

I have softmodded my wii. I put the homebrew channel on with usb loader and bootmii. I thought this was all i needed to do. but when i try to play a game off my external device, wii resets to wii menu. I also cant install game from dvd to exteranl device/ I have used letterbomb to exploit 4.3E version. Anyone help? thanks

Sounds like you did not softmod correctly, what cios's did you install?
Bets option is to google modmii, run the wizard on a PC and it will download everything you need - inc a guide. This should show you what you missed.
Also is you device compatible - google wii usb device compatibility.

Midmii runs on your pc, answer questions and it will download everything you need inc a guide, you need to install cios's at 222, 223, 224, 249, 250 (modmii standard)
Gx runs on a modified nintendo ios (modified - hence custom ios - cios) installed at 249 or 222 (depending what GX version you installed)

Well then run the wizard, put it all on the sd card, run 236 installer, start mmm and reload it on 236, install wads, just install the 222 - 250 wads.

Hi,
I had a similar issue where the usb loader just goes back to the default home screen. However neogamma R9, is able to read my wbfs drive and start the games. I also used the letterbomb and then installed the bootmii. I looked in the wads folder on the sd card (which I used to install) and I see cios222 upto cios250. Is there something else I could be missing ? Is there a way to check that the cios are getting loaded correctly ?
