Wii 4.3U and letterbomb

hello guys was wondering if you could help on this. I'm having trouble with the letterbomb method of soft modding again after the system was updated to a 4.3. I have tried 2 different sd cards and don't get the message on the wii. it's not connected to the interenet it was soft modded before the updated, is there another way or what could be the problem followed this guide http://wiihomebrew.me/how-to-hack-any-wii-4-3-part-2/. Any help would appreciated thank you in advance

I had a similar issue where I couldnt see "today" or "yesterday" so I couldnt find the message. I did 2 things, set the correct time and also created a mii (since the console was blank before I started). After that I was then able to go to the "yesterday" and see the letterbomb.
