Hi Folks! This is my first time posting. I have stumbled onto this forum and joined after reading the guide to on this site for burning AVCHD by using Nero Burning Rom. The link is to the post is
Who ever wrote this how to, in my opinion, IS A FREAKING GENIUS!! I actually had tears in my eyes because it actually work!!
Quick story, I just bought a Canon HF S100, records in .MTS files, H 264 video, 1980 X 1080. I got it 4 weeks ago and since have dumped hundreds of videos and photos from our Disney vacation. Since then, I have been pulling my hair out and is so frustrated because the videos are so slow and jerky in playback. Video editing is nearly impossible and time consuming because I can't truly view the files in real time. Encoding a test clip to burn on a DVD takes hours. I have tried numerous programs such as Windows Movie Maker, Imagemixer ( supplied Software ), etc. Currently, I am playing around with Nero. It too is very slow.
When I followed the how to using Nero Burning Rom, it worked awesome!! The pictures were ( I think ) in high def when playback on the Playstation 3. I used a regular DVD-R disc. My questions are -
1. The playback of clips on the PS3 came in " per file mode ". I have to click on each clip to play once the previous finishes. Is there a way to burn all the clips from the folder continuously? If possible, I will settle for this type of playback ( but would prefer to edit videos first ).
2. Are there any other ways in Nero ( or any other ) to make the editing, encoding, and burning process easier?
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
