Hi, I'm trying to burn a .vob to a DVD+R DL disc. I have tried doing it with both DVDFlick (that uses ImgBurn behind the scenes) and Nero 12, and it failed with both. 1.- My DVD is a PLDS DVDRWBD DS-6E2SH. I tried updating the drivers in Device Manager but it tells me I have the latest. 2.- I ran a test with the PC Checkup tool that came with my Dell laptop, and the "DVD+R DL Read Write Test" passed. This is the burner sending this message. It was often a signal that a firmware update was required - perhaps because the media wasn't recognized or it was poor quality. Since you are using Verbatim disks, quality shouldn't be a problem. What I would do is procure a blank single density Verbatim DVD-R and perform a simulation burn ("Test mode")using ImgBurn. If no problems are indicated, turn off test mode and load a blank DL disk and burn your project again at one of the indicated available speeds (it's listed under the 'Device' tab probably 2.4X).
