I am running Nero 6.6.1.15 on Windows XP Pro and it cannot find my new liteon iHDP 118 4 ide recorder. It sees my older Benq but the Liteon is not listed.

    Can Windows Explorer see it.
If not, is it listed in the PC Bios or the boot screen.

Yes it is recognized in windows and seen in explorer. Device manager also shows it as no problems. When I run Nero I can only see my old Benq drive. The other Liteon drive that it replaced was recognized but had reading and burning problems.

Is it strictly a Nero problem.
Run ImgBurn and see if shows the drive - try burning the output from Nero to a disk.

I installed imgburn and the drive is not recognized. Winows Explorer and My computer sees the drive but both Nero and Imgburn does not.

I assume the settings and cabling on the new drive are the same as the old?
Try removing the Upper Class Filter and the Lower Class Filter.

I sent the drive back to vendor. I have an older NEC hooked up and both nero and imgburn sees it fine. Thanks for all the help.
