this may not work for everybody but i'm a tell you anyway. I've been getting these errors for like 2 days. My dvds wouldn't burn in nero or imgburn even though previously I've burned hundreds of back ups. just stopped working out of the blue. I did research on this forum and other forums and followed their directions to a T and still wasn't able to burn anything. to make a long story short basically to get my burner to burn again I took a Q-tip and sprayed one side with windex and rung out the access with my finger tips so that it was lightly moist and proceeded to wipe off the lens to my dvd burner. I took the dry side and wiped my lens again to make sure there was no moisture on the lens at all. I then let my computer sit for like 5 minutes to make sure all moisture had dried up before I started another burn and guess what its been working good ever since. I'm not saying that this will solve everybodies problem that get these same error messages but its worth a shot before you buy another dvd burner, reboot you computer, etc.
