Issues with Pioneer 112d DVD Burner

I have issues with my Pioneer 112D DVD burner

Was all working a few weeks ago until I had to reformat my hard drive & reinstall XP

I can see drive in windows explorer but it wont burn using Nero - recorder state failed

I have downloaded latest drivers & tried to install - get error FAILED TO MOVE TO NORMAL MODE.

Any ideas on how to resolve

It would help if you have a log.

Nero 6 log
Program Files\Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory.txt

Nero 7 log
Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory.txt
or
Program Files\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Ahead\NeroHistory.txt

Nero8
Program Files\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Nero\Nero8\Nero Burning ROM\NeroHistory.txt
