Nero 7 Problem-Please help !!

I have never had a problem until recently with Nero 7 ultralight. When I use NeroSmart and add video files and the nero vision window pops up my video playback does not happen. It shows the remote on the right and the picture window on the left. It shows the direction of examine the results of your project before buring it. For the first time it doesn't play it back and the results is that when I hit next it prepares the video for transcoding and doesn't transcode it. I believe the problem is that it doesn't show the video in the preview window and that prevents it from transcoding. Any suggestions as I have uninstalled and reinstalled and same problem. Not sure what suddenly caused it to stop showing preview. HELP !!!!
