Nero 9 Showtime has gone off

    I have Showtime and it work well viewing DVDs and it use to be able to show *.avi files.
    Now when I want to use it for AVI file, it loads and I get the picture in the middle of the red box which shows the time. If I try for full screen there is just the black screen with the red ribbon in it and no picture.
    Please help

    use vlc .. honestly, that nero thing is a menace.

    Thank you. It use to work (smile). BTW what is your advice to upgrade from Nero 9 to the lastest? Or do I expose myself to more problem than are solved by the upgrade?
