DVDFab does not recognize dvd on virtual machine running Windows 7 on macbook

I am running a Windows 7 virtual machine via Parallels on a Macbook Pro and although the dvd is recognized in the drive, DVDFab does not see it.
I think this has to be a setting I am missing in Fab, but I can't find it.
Any suggestions?
