convert text into srt

Hello,
I have this text document which is the subtitles and I would like to know how to convert it into srt .... so i can put it into my music video's or mp3 music

A .srt document consists of a line number, the time on screen and the dialog saved as .srt instead of .txt
What does your text file look like.
