I used Subtitle Tool to create the the .srt file and also Subtitle Editor for timing. Video file is in MPEG by the way. Then I used the Conversor to edit the style and to convert it to .ssa as well so I can encode it using Virtual Dub. In VirtualDub I load the subtitler filter and XVID video compression. Then I start encoding. Save as AVI. Results were out of sync. Video is just 9 minute long. I'm not sure if I'm missing something. File is 30fps by the way and I also convert the sub file to 30fps. Still no result. When I play the raw files in soft sub (.srt notepad), everything is in sync. I even try TMPGEnc and end up with the same result. Please HELP!
I think that MPC will automatically pick up an ssa file with the same name as the video, are they in sync. When you load the ssa and select the compressor in VirtualDub, if you hit the preview playback button, are they in sync.
Thanks for your reply. It is in sync with MPC but I don't know why I can't preview it on VirtualDub but I tried TMPGEnc and they already out of sync on preview. It's really frustrating after hours of syncing and timing, they're out of sync after encoding. PLease Help.
I assume that you use the preview feature in the filter screen to verify the subs are present. And are selecting the output preview on the main screen to verify sync?
The subs are present when I drag the scroll but I when I press that button you encircled, the preview button, it doesn't do anything. Dub in progress will appear on top. Is that suppose to be like a play button?
That is the output playback - it should be playing the video and showing the subs. If you don't load the subs - does the video play with either button.
