Subtitles and TV

    I have downloaded a movie and subtitles from an external link and have managed to play the movie with subtitles in VLC player
    but the question is..can i play the movie with subtitles in TV(television) ?..
    plzzz reply..

    If it's a DivX file and you have a standalone DVD player that accepts DivX, then name the subtitles the same as the video, thus:
    myvideo.avi
    myvideo.srt
    - and burn the files to a CD/DVD.
