Hey guys, as I left my apartment this morning I dropped my 1st gen iTouch in the mud and it landed so some mud got in the headphone jack. I cleaned some of it out with a coffee stirrer, and now when I plug in my headphones they go almost all the way in and I can hear some audio out of them, but I have no volume control (i.e. the volume doesn't show up on the now playing section, as if I don't have headphones plugged in).

Has anybody had to clean out there headphone jacks or does anyone have some suggestions...as a college kid I can't really afford a new one so I'm trying my hardest to salvage mine.

    Thanks for any help,
    -Capn

Well, a tooth pick seems to have gotten my volume control back, although it is definitely quieter than it was before.
