How to Jailbreak iPod Touch 3rd gen 8gb, MC version

I have an iPod touch 3rd generation, the 8 gigabyte model, or MC model. I was going to jailbreak it but read that this model can't be jail broken. Is that correct, or can you. It is on version 4.0 firmware, if it can be jail broken, could I sync with iTunes? Or would I have to use an alternative.

Go to http://jailbreakme.com ON THE IPOD and do the slider and it will jailbreak it, have done it myself.
