iPod Classic 4G (photo era) grinding

    I have a 20GB iPod 4G. Basically the photo without the color screen. The hard drive is just loud and grinding BUT it still works. Is this normal or shall I replace the hard drive? I bought it on eBay with a bad battery so I'm in the process of fixing that, should I replace the HD with it?
