Ok, well today I though i would do some work on my dirtbike but I wanted to listen to my music but i remembered that my original iPhone wont work with my fm transmitter. So for whatever reason I though of this old ipod mini i had that was dropped (not by me) and was no longer working...reading around i determend that the harddrive was the problem and I also found that you are able to but a compact flash card instead of the hard drive. So when I was in town tonight buy one but it in and still cant get it to do anything. Cannot force it into disk mode or anything yet it will reset just fine and show thwe folder with the ! beside, just stick at the apple logo and do nothing or just now got the sad ipod logo. In conclusion i was wondering if anbody had an idea o how I might get this workin. Would me greatly appreciated Thanks, Cody
Did you buy a flash drive that was supposed to be compatible with your model ipod? The fact that is does not even fit suggests you were not very selective when you made your purchase. Are you sure the disk was the problem? Where did you find this information? Could you post a link? My daughter has an old 30g ipod. If the disk dies before the controls we might want to swap them out as well. The disks are fairly cheap, probably cheaper than the flash drive.
