Ok I was listening to my pod and fell asleep. When i woke up I saw it had went to the apple screen and was frozen I wasnt abel to unfreeze it because i was on away from home so I left it alone. well several days later I picked it up and it on but the lock was showing and i cant unlock is there anything I can do????
You might want to check out Aiseesoft iPod Transfer app. See if you can get a free trial. Apple has been obsessed with security. They make most of their money selling tunes not ipods. They do not want you to put tunes on your ipod from any other source. Whether my mistake or design, they have routines that kill your ipod and can not be reversed. The most unfortunate part is these security routines can get activated even though you have done nothing wrong. That and now they dising the ipods so that they will not last (inferior hard disk and making connectors paper thin) I would not suggest anyone buy an ipod. As far as Apple goes they scored big time you now have to buy a ipod and music. I have suggested going to the Media Monkey forums to several persons locked out. If there are are persons that can hack into a locked ipod they would be found there. Media monkey is a powerful alternitive to itunes.
here is a free resource you can check out: http://ipodtipstrickshacksrepairs.blogspot.com/ Hope that helps. Peace, David
