My mp3 player will no longer connect to the pc because the usb port on the player is dead. The player still works but I obviously can't add new music or get my music off the player to put on a new player. I want a way to get my music off the hard drive. Any ideas? I have an adapter to connect the HD to my computer but it requires a format to read it. That isn't helpful because losing my files defeats the purpose.

The only way to read the hardrive is from another Zen Xtra with same firmware installed as the player it is currently in. Or take the player you have now & have another usb port installed onto the board. The file system is on the player can not be read by any computer.
