Which model of computer can use os linux

I got a pc dell studio dual core 2 with 2 gig ram i would like to know if can use linux on cause i really hate w.vista

 

yes .. it will work better because it's properly dual processor capable.. and has been since day 1

 

oh yeah that pc would work great with linux. i would recommend ubuntu. I just switched to ubuntu, and it is very nice. i found that this distro is very user friendly, if your like me and are just starting out with linux. And you can install it inside windows, if you do not want to completely get ride of it

 

Thanks guys for your information how to format a partition of 6 gig on my pc i got another laptop dell latitude d600 40 gig but i ve patitioned it 6 n 34 gig in the 6 gig there is windows file 34 gig there's my personel file i want to install ubuntu onto the 6 gig hwo should i proceed? plz need ya help
