I hav an imac G4 and ive just finished downloading the cd reetail install version, but the G4's cd/dvd drive is not functional, so ive moved the zip onto my new imac to burn from there but i realized that i wont be able to install the discs because i cant read cd's or dvd's. Someone plz help

What exactly do you need help with? Sounds to me as if you need to purchase a new CD/DVD drive.

Nv, i figuerd it out. I used my macbook, put the install cds in itm then put it into TDM mode, whilst it was connected to the g4. i booted the G4 holding option, then i got to choose the cd/dvd drive of the macbook to use as an external cd/dvd drive. After that, te installation was pretty smooth
