need help on my new mac!!!!!

    hello after dawn, i wanted to ask a question on a imac i wanted to know how to hard reset or permanently delete everything on the computer is that possible or am i gonna have to use a cd disk of some sort???? i bought this mac of the street and now i cant get a hold of the seller to ask him the passwords and i feel like i got scamed if i cant do anything about it so plz help thanks peeps!!!!!!!

    a bit of google should find ways to reset passwords.. it is os version dependent, but unix always has a way to get around a corrupt or maliciously changed password... you don't need any disks.. but I'm not going to put this kind of info which is useful to thieves in a public space.

    to totally wipe it start in single user mode and use rm * -rf

    OK um is there any other way we can discuss this like on a private chat of some sort um I've looked but I'm not quiet familiar with macs etc........

    ok.. bit of further info.. exact operating system version needed.. then I can tell you how to break in.. apple are cagey ;)

    The old skool way is to use a live unix/linux cd boot and manually edit the password file (not telling where it is.. OS version dependent) to a blank password, then reset on first boot.
