I believe this will work without a problem and I guess trying it will answer it but I thought I would ask on here first becasue there are so many smart people in Audio and video, computers. I have a headset which the mic connector is plugged into my sound card mic port, I need to plag another device in the mic port, can I use a "Y" and plug both mic devices into the "Y" and as long as I only use one at a time the sound card should get the source from the device I am using. am I thinking this out correctly? Thanks
usually your headset would be plugged into the headphone port.maybe you need to explain your situation in more detail.what is this other device you need to plug in.more info will help net you a better answer.
