Just turned the pc on today and i have found i cannot access any of my folders in my documents or any within c drive on my other drive d drive.I have tried making a desktop shortcut and it does open the folder up but again when i try to open another folder within this folder i get the same message(the red cross saying error)then following maeeage-"This file does not have a program assosiated with it for performing this action.PLease install a program,or if one is already installed, create an association within in the default programs control panel".

Help appreciated,as i can access anything at presnt.Have ran anti virus programs etc nothing detected.

What is also strange,is that i can access folders if i use the explorer at the left hand side of the screen,so i can open them from here.Only when i go to open them from the main screen is when i get that message i posted previously.I am stumped,i have checked the c drive access boxes and all ticked as they should be.
