Hi, I have 8 Dell C521's in a room for IT training, all connected to a Netgear Router.

Also we have a networked printer Olivetti D color MF25.

7 can print minus 1. I cant seem to configure it correctly to pick it up

All the computers are on the same subnet 192.168.0.X etc

    the printer is 192.168.0.55

I cant seem to either install the printer and connect to it or the other method of sharing the printer from another computer

they are on the same workgroup of MSHOME. Internet seems to be working fine. and ping request come back ok from all known IP's on the network.

I have repeatedly reinstalled the drivers. thinking of totally wiping it and putting Windows 7 on instead of XP

    Thanks alot

If it can get online and ping the other computers the only thing I can think of might be the firewall on the machine. If it isn't turned on it could be that the tcp/ip stack is corrupt. You could try typing in the command prompt 'netsh winsock reset' then reboot the computer to see if that helped if not try 'netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt'
