I have windows xp running on my desktop and need to know if there is any way to disable the driver signature verification. What I'm trying to do is use a ps3 controller with my desktop; i downloaded a driver and installed it and the controller works in calibration mode, but not when i try to play an actual game. I have searched and searched on the net for a solution, to no avail. There appears to be an F8 boot option for both Vista and Windows 7, but I can find nothing for xp. I am wondering, is there a cmd prompt that i could run, or any way to fix this; i have also searched tirelessly through all of my options menus. any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thank you in advance, bradco.

you only need to disable driver signing if you run a 64bit windows. i've installed the motioninjoy driver on xp without doing anything; on windows 7 x64 i had to disable it.
