Full hard drive

    I am using XP service pack 2 and my hard drive is getting pretty full what i want to know is what can i uninstall using the add or remove programs in the control panel for instance can i get rid of old java runtime enviroment updates or java tm updates these are pretty big files or what about some of the many different windows updates i am constantly being sent. any help or just info would be appreciated.

    If you never use system restore disable that. Just keep an image backup offline somewhere.
    You can always disable automatic windows updates (not needed) as long as you have a firewall and antivirus protecting you.
    On your recycle bin, adjust it to 3 percent or smaller.

    Yes, you can get rid of all those Java cr@p. Uninstall them all and download and install the most current one only.

    Also, consider running CCleaner to get rid of extra garbage residing on your HDD. Uninstall any application you no longer use as well. Hard drives are cheap, get a bigger one.
