i have borrowed a universal adapter still green is the colour
and the same thing happened it does not detect it
is it because this keyboard works only through usb directly?

no as you used a green adapter for a mouse when you need a purple adapter for keyboard.

this adapter that i used the one who gave it to me said that is universal
it plays both mouse and keyboard
do you think that some modern keyboards now works only through usb directly?
maybe this one is one of them
